A site visit and subsequent research revealed that two of the staircases in these multi-level apartments, had close similarities to features of the historic gasholder frameworks that now encircle the three new residential buildings. Namely the spiral staircase that once wound its way to the top of the structure, and the ‘helical lift’, responsible for lifting and lowering the gasholder within the frame. With the third staircase soaring ‘skyward’ through the centre of the residence, like the gasholder once did through the heart of the structure. Thus, the three penthouses were branded Helix, Spiral and Skyward.
Static and animated versions of three individual brand identities were then created, in a design style inspired by the distinctive punched metal casing that now surrounds the buildings.
Then in keeping with the highly personal and exclusive nature of the sales process and customer journey for such a rarified offer, individual brochure portfolios were created for the three penthouses, showcasing floorplans CGIs and specifications.
